I attended Erasmus Hall High School which may be the most famous high school in New York. It’s also the oldest high school built way back in the 1790s, the original building is still on the campus. When I attended Erasmus, it was known for its high level of academics and great basketball teams.
If you’re old enough to remember the TV show Welcome Back Kotter, it was based upon Erasmus Hall. There are far too many famous celebrities who attended the school to list here. I have many fond memories of Erasmus Hall located on Flatbush Avenue in Brooklyn.
